Everybody

By Branden Jacob Jenkins

This modern riff on the fifteenth-century morality play Everyman follows Everybody (chosen from amongst the cast by lottery at each performance) as they journey through life’s greatest mystery—the meaning of living.

Staged in an empty basement, this production required quite  an involved process of transformation, innovation, and improvisation to create the theatricalized pre-show experience of arriving at a theatre, being seated by an usher, and attending a play.

Produced at the National Theater Institute at The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, Connecticut, USA - Spring 2023
