Threads of Expectations

A young woman, Pen, navigating her way through the stuckness of her mid twenties in the big city inadvertently invokes her ancient ancestor– the virtuous and wise wife of Odyssius, Penelope.

Together they work to unravel the threads of expectation constricting Pen to get her unstuck.

Produced at the National Theater Institute at The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, Connecticut, USA - Fall 2022 & Spring 2023

Direction: Kira Gaudynski

Produced as a staged readings incorporating textiles, contact improvization, and music. 

This play is in development and aims to incorporate elements of ariel silks, weaving, and more music in future iterations.
